Working towards lifelong recovery from obesity

Eat Well (content) – Eat non-starchy vegetables everyday

An obesity recovery lifestyle will feature a diet dominated by these fantastically nutritious, low calorie, high roughage foods.

How dominated is your current diet by non-starchy vegetables? Review the past three days of eating. How many meals did you have? How many of these meals featured non-starchy vegetables?

It’s quite possible to eat non-starchy vegetables at every meal, as well as in-betweens.

Breakfast? Easy.

Fresh spinach/silverbeet in a smoothie or microwaved spinach/silverbeet underneath poached eggs.

Lunch and Tea are even easier with lettuce salads, vegetable soups and stir-frys.

Carrot or celery are classic, low-calorie, good nutrition, in-betweens (for those of us who like to have in-betweens).
