Enjoy Life – By being thankful
One of the surest ways of enjoying life is to become more thankful.
Counting our blessings means focussing on the good things in our lives and feeling grateful for them.
There are controlled psychological experiments confirming that genuine happiness increases in people who regularly give thanks in this way. So being thankful for the good things in life is an activity we should foster and make habitual. We know how to make things habitual – practice and practice and practice.
Choose a regular time in the day to practice being thankful. Get the habit going by allocating a regular minute or two each day, and soon your enjoyment of life will begin to rise.
