Eat Well – Eliminate sugary drinks

The purpose of drinking is to provide the body with water, an absolute necessity for life and health.

One of the most extraordinary features of our crazy modern lifestyle is the presence of highly concentrated sugary drinks. These products completely undermine the purpose of drinking for the sake of a taste and physical sensation. Rather than replenish the body with fresh water, these recreational products provide the body with mouth entertainment, which result in the body being burdened with unnecessary calories. There is no better example than Coke. Coke is it!

A 600ml bottle of Coke contains 15 teaspoons of sugar, over two times the recommended daily limit (6 teaspoons). It also contains caffeine along with both carbonic acid (the fizz) and phosphoric acid which counter the intense sugary flavour to produce the unique Coke taste and feel in the mouth, and contribute to tooth decay.

This is modern recreation, putting our health at risk.

An excellent strategy for reducing unnecessary intake of fuel (calories) and therefore enhancing our recovery from obesity is eliminating all sugary drinks.
