Take Control – Set short-term weight goals

One of the most important ways to Take Control is to set goals and be committed to them.

It is easy to have grand plans for the future, but these can soon fade in the hurley-burley stress of life. Making short-term goals – weekly, fortnightly or monthly, whatever suits us best – makes the task more achievable by keeping us in control in the present.

To make things happen, it is very helpful to consciously commit to our goals in some way every day, such as: writing them down and deliberately reading to remind ourselves what they are; writing down our weight on a daily basis and comparing this with our short-term goal; or simply thinking consciously about our short-term goals at a regular time during the day.

Take control by setting short-term weight goals and committing to them on a daily basis.
